Jamie McGonnigal is a parent, advocate, and lifelong storyteller based in Hyattsville, Maryland. He currently serves as PTA President at Hyattsville Elementary, where he’s helped build a strong, inclusive school community. By day, he works in partnerships and fundraising, helping mission-driven organizations grow their impact. By night (and sometimes early morning), he’s a dad navigating school drop-offs, community events, and the occasional campaign trail as a candidate for the Prince George’s County Board of Education.
Jamie also brings a creative background to everything he does. He’s a longtime voice actor with roles across the Pokémon universe and beyond, and he’s produced more than 150 live events and benefit concerts. Whether he’s organizing a PTA fundraiser, knocking on doors with his family, or helping shape national conversations about education and equity, Jamie leads with heart, humor, and a deep belief in community.
He lives in Hyattsville with his husband and their son, and is always up for a conversation about schools, parenting, or which Pokémon he voiced that you definitely remember. Find out more at Jamiemcg.me or mcgfordistrict3.com
